Overview
I redesigned a dense pipeline analytics workflow so teams could move from thousands of roles to a focused, trustworthy view of candidate movement.
The problem
A conventional dropdown broke down across more than 3,000 roles, overlapping titles, multiple requisitions, and repeat visits. Search, selection, and application were easy to confuse, while bulk actions felt risky.
What I drove
- Reframed filtering as a query-building problem rather than a dropdown redesign.
- Mapped first-time, repeat, search, selection, bulk, and empty states.
- Separated browsing, searching, selecting, and updating into clear actions.
What changed
- Reframed an overloaded dropdown as a staged query-building workflow.
- Made bulk scope, selected criteria, and the moment data updates explicit and reversible.
